Palworld: How to stack Plantations to maximise efficiency

Three plantations in the space of one? Yes please.

There are currently four different Plantations available within Palworld – Red Berries, Lettuce, Tomato and Wheat. They’re vital to the smooth running of your bases, but they take up a lot of room and they’re not even all the same size, which makes it awkward.

However, players have discovered a handy trick that works to maximise efficiency, while also reducing the footprint of your farm by a large amount; stacking these Plantations on top of each other allows up to three crops to be watered or gathered at once. Here’s how to do it.

How to stack Plantations

I’ll be honest, this process gets a little fiddly, so be prepared for your patience to be tested at least a little while trying to make this work. I’ve included pictures with this guide, for those with a visual learning style like myself.

Step one:

You’re going to want to start with two benches. Place one down on the floor and then build it, before building another on top of it in the same direction.

Step two:

Once your benches are down, stand at the end of the lowest one and line up your Plantation of choice so that the middle of it is lined up with the top bench. Then start jumping. You’re going to need to be quick, but you’ll be able to snap the Plantation to the bench and place it down at the moment it turns blue.

Once you’ve built (fully built, not just placed) your top Plantation, crouch and enter the deconstruction menu (press B and then C on keyboard). Carefully delete the bench that the top plantation is resting on and once it’s gone, the Plantation should float.

Step 3:

Repeat step two, clipping your second Plantation to the remaining bench. Line up your plantations however you like – I went with a tiered formation here.

Once that second Plantation is placed, make sure to build it and then use the same crouching method to delete the remaining bench. Now you should have two floating Plantations and space for a third underneath.

Step 4:

Place your last Plantation at ground level and build.

Once you’ve done this, your Pals will be able to Plant, Water and Gather crops in a much more efficient manner. Be wary, though. Pals are liable to getting stuck in this setup, though that’s easily fixed by returning the stuck Pal to the Palbox and then placing them back onto your base.
