How to locate and capture Ragnahawk in Palworld

Flame on.

The Ragnahawk Pal is becoming quite popular among those in the Palworld community, and there are good reasons as to why. A fire type, it’s powerful, it doubles as a flying mount, and it’s helpful in a base. Here’s how to locate and capture a Ragnahawk in Palworld.

To my knowledge, there is no Ragnarock Alpha Pal you can find roaming the overworld. Getting one won’t be as easy as our adorable Quivern friend, I’m afraid. Your best bet is to locate the Ragnahawk in its natural environment, which, naturally, is around a molten volcano: Mount Obsidian.

Take care before traveling to Mount Obsidian, as it’s a harsh biome with a level suggestion of 30-35+. If you believe you’re leveled enough and have the best Pals to take on the firebird, then travel to Mount Obsidian at the southwestern part of the map.

The Ragnahawk habitat is mostly all around the volcano, not at its apex. And that’s good news since it means you can search for the bird on the sandy beach at the base of the mountain. It’s not close enough to the lava that you’ll be required to protect yourself with hot-weather gear. I suggest teleporting to the Fisherman’s Point fast-travel location if you have it unlocked. From there, travel west along the beach until one spawns in. Ragnahawks are set naturally at level 37, so be ready for a good fight.

The Ragnahawk is a fire-type Pal, so going by our element list of strengths and weaknesses, you need to bring a water-type Pal to weaken it. You should also have firearms unlocked before taking on the hawk, as arrows just don’t do the trick at this high of a level. Use your Pal and bullets to weaken the Ragnahawk before tossing a Pal Sphere and capturing it.

There are a couple more ways to get a Ragnahawk for your team. One way is to successfully hatch one from a Large Scorching Egg, which are often found in hot areas. Another way is to breed two Pals to make one. Some have had success by breeding a Nitewing and Pyrin. There are many possible combos, more than can be listed here.

What traits does a Ragnahawk have?

The Ragnahawk is a large, flying Pal. When you reach level 37, you can unlock the Ragnahawk Saddle to turn the Pal into a flying mount. You’ll need to cobble together 25 leather, 20 ingot, 25 Paldium Fragments, 15 cloth, and 20 Flame Organs, so you know it’s not cheap.

But it is worth it. The Ragnahawk is known as one of the best flying mounts in the game. It’s not as fast as the top-tier Jetragon, but it has more stamina. The Partner Skill is Flame Wing, which increases your base attack while turning it into fire-based damage. Yes, it’s worth it.

As you can see, the Ragnahawk is also a great Pal to have in your base. While it doesn’t boast level 4 stats, it is quick when cooking ingot and transporting goods. Overall, it’s a fantastic Pal to have on your team, and you should get one (or several) as soon as possible.
