Pocketpair, the developer of Palworld, is quick to tout the gameās multiplayer. However, you may not be of the friend-have variety of person and might wonder if it can be played single-player.
Good news, it can.
Palworld is a survival crafting game, much like the Forest or Ark series or any number of Minecraft derivatives. For a reason a misanthrope like myself canāt understand, itās a popular genre for multiplayer. Why would I want to be stranded somewhere with other people?
But like most other games in the genre, Palworld can be played single-player offline. When you create a new world, you are able to simply state whether or not you want it to be multiplayer. If you change your mind later, and suddenly like human contact, you can edit your session to allow multiplayer and take it online.
Are there any limitations to playing by yourself? Not that Iāve experienced. Palworld features a lot of automation opportunities. You can essentially hand off resource gathering to the Pals you capture, and careful base building can mean total efficiency. At this point, I wonder how another human could even help things. But I wonder that a lot. Like, in general.
