Granblue Fantasy: Relink demo coming ahead of launch

Granblue Fantasy: Relink gets a PlayStation demo ahead of launch

You'll be able to try out the JARPG before it releases in a few weeks.

Upcoming action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink will get a demo for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. According to Gematsu, publisher Cygames and developer Cygames Osaka announced that a demo will be coming to both platforms tomorrow, January 12. In areas where it is already January 12, like New Zealand, the demo is available now.

3 Modes and a launch version reward

The demo will feature three different modes: Tutorial, Story, and Quest modes. In tutorial mode, players will be able to practice the basic controls of the game to get comfortable with Granblue Fantasy: Relink’s ARPG combat system. Story mode will feature a brief section from the introduction part of Relink, showcasing a bit of the story. Last is Quest Mode, which includes three different quests. The quests are multiplayer-compatible allowing players to team up with 1-3 friends or AI-controlled allies in more challenging battles.

Alongside the three modes, the demo will also feature the ability to customize gear load-outs across 11 different playable characters.

Those who complete the Story and Quest modes of the demo will get some small bonuses in the release version at launch. It’s always great when a demo adds some sort of bonus for playing it or even a save that carries over. It makes me much more interested in giving it a whirl when I know there’s something to gain from doing so or that I won’t have to do everything again.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink launches on January 31, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
