Is the 100-Summon in Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat a good deal? No. Itās absolutely not, for several reasons. I canāt in good conscience explain how this microtransaction works without plainly, explicitly clarifying that this is something you should never buy under any circumstances. We good? Good.
Basically, the 100-Summon in Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat lets you perform 10 10-pull summons in a row. Each of these appears to have a guaranteed weapon or hero at the highest rarity, based on my results. Once youāve used the 10 summons in a row, youāll have the option to pick one of them and purchase it for $59.99.
I donāt think Peak of Combat even tells you this thing costs sixty buckaroos until youāve already performed your summons. Adding insult to injury, your summons will expire in 12 hours if you don’t purchase it, and afterwards the feature will be lost. This is blatant FOMO, encouraging you to purchase this package before time runs out so you don’t think it through.
For reference, “reroll summons” like this are just a standard feature in other gacha games. For example, SINoALICE let you reroll as many times as you wanted to start your account. How the game values this at ā90% OFFā like the banner says is truly beyond me. I cannot think of a single universe in which a 10-pull is āworthā $600.00.
Should you purchase the 100-Summon in Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat?
NO. I put that header there just in case you somehow skipped the first paragraph. Typically, Iām not here to tell people how they should or shouldnāt spend their money. But this is such an egregious rip off that I canāt begin to sugar coat it.
Even if you come from royalty and have infinite money, I still would tell you not to purchase this pack. In case your motivation for buying microtransactions like these is the feeling you get when dominating the leaderboards, this still isnāt a good deal. Think of all the things you could do with that $60 that would make you feel important and significant instead.
10 things you could do with $60 instead of buying the 100-Summon in Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat
1: Donate to your local food bank.
2: Buy a cool present for someone you know.
3: See a movie and get popcorn and snacks.
4: Leave a waiter $60 as a tip and tell them that they did a great job.
5: Hang out in one of those shopping mall massage chairs for an hour.
6: Put change in parking meters that are about to expire.
7: Get a license for WinRAR.
8: Buy the top 15 paid games on iOS and, as of writing, still have seven dollars left over.
9: Get 60 one-dollar bills to wipe the sweat off your face on a hot day.
