How to get Death’s Poker in Elden Ring

Your predicted death count will be a lot lower after using this great sword.

Elden Ring is tough, to put it bluntly. Exploring The Lands Between requires some mighty strong weapons to give you an edge, one of which includes the Deathā€™s Poker greatsword. If you’re looking to add the weapon to your flock, here’s how to find the feathered fiend hiding it.

The Death’s Poker greatsword is obtained after defeating the Death Rite Bird located southeast of the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank Site of Grace. Look to Caelid, the desert region eastward of Limgrave. The area is a bit tougher since itā€™s intended to be explored a bit after hitting level 60, but itā€™s still doable.Ā

In any case, get to this Site of Grace by going through the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. For those unfamiliar with the tunnel route, head over to the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. Thereā€™s a chest located in the lower passageway among the ruins.

Interact with the chest, and itā€™ll ā€œensnare you in a transporter trapā€. Donā€™t worry about that; just know youā€™re going to land in a significantly higher area compared to Limgrave. Once inside the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, go outside of the dungeon by going down.Ā

Once out of the tunnel, keep heading south. Jump on your horse, Torrent, and ignore any big enemies you face along the way, including those who travel around the pools of Scarlet Rot. Youā€™ll eventually find a road that you can follow to head over to this Site of Grace.Ā

Upon getting to the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank, you have to rest there and pass the time to nightfall. Youā€™ll have to do this because the Death Rite Bird only spawns at night. Prepare for a tough fight since this beast is heavily resistant to Frostbite and Bleed, which are the strongest status effects in the game.

Instead, try opting for weapons that deal Blunt or Holy damage. If youā€™re a lower-level player, you will have to learn this monsterā€™s pattern, though you can try summoning another player to assist you in this fight.Ā

The Death Rite Bird uses attacks that inflict Frostbite damage. This damage type stacks up quickly, so itā€™s easy to die faster than other bosses. Once you kill this boss, you should receive the ā€œEnemy Felledā€ popup, followed by the very strong Deathā€™s Poker Greatsword.
