How to get the Grimoire in Warframe

Take your enemies down with knowledge.

The Grimoire is one of the new weapons introduced in Warframeā€™s latest update. As weā€™re now in the post-New War era of the game, expect a bunch more unconventional weapons to be used to take on new threats. One of them is the new Grimoire book weapon. With that said, hereā€™s how to get the Grimoire in Warframe.

How to get the Grimoire in Warframe

Luckily, this is a weapon that you can earn while completing the newly released Whispers in the Wall quest. This was the one shown off during Tennocon 2023 and during The Game Awards. Itā€™s an unmissable weapon too, since it is tied directly to the continuation of the Warframe story.

This is going to be a powerful freebie for people who want to try the new weapon out, because itā€™ll already be crafted, installed with an Orokin Catalyst, and set at level 30. Midway through the Whispers in the Wall quest, you can even install a Forma on it to start modding the weapon even further. Just know that doing so will reset the weaponā€™s level.

For some reason, if you want to get a second Grimoire or if you somehow delete your quest reward and want to get one back at some point, you can earn it without playing the quest again. Once you have free access to the Sanctum Anatomica on Deimos, head over to Bird 3, one of the NPCs in this hub.

They have the Grimoire blueprint available for 50,000 Cavia standing. Though, you will need to be Rank 4: Scholar, with this syndicate. Thatā€™s going to take some grinding of the new missions in this Deimos expansion.

For whatever reason that you do seek to get this weapon again, hereā€™s what you will need to craft it:

  • 25,000 Credits
  • 2,000 Entrati Obols
  • 50 Necracoil
  • 15 Echo Voca
  • 10 Entrati Lanthorn

Ideas for a Grimoire build

Since this weapon has high critical and status chances, focus on a build that utilizes both. Also, equip a single elemental mod, preferably one with Toxin damage. What you can end up having is a secondary weapon with infinite ammo, constant critical hits, and armor stripping. Its alternate fire will also be very good for crowd control as it has a large radial effect.

Avoid using mods that focus on positive reload speeds as the weapon does not need to reload at all. If youā€™re equipping an Exilus mod for the weapon, use mods like Lethal Momentum to boost the weaponā€™s projectile speed.
