When is MW3’s next Free Weekend?

Play for free!

It’s been a minute since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 arrived and players the world-over are discussing their favorite (and least favorite) elements of this year’s Call of Duty iteration. But, for those who haven’t gotten to jump into the latest version of the action, when will be the next free weekend?

For those out of the loop, the Call of Duty franchise has been known to do periodic free weekends where prospective players can try the game out for a limited time for free. In these free weekends, traditionally speaking, players are given access to the game’s multiplayer mode (but not the single player campaign).

When will Modern Warfare 3 be free-to-play?

I would hate to be the bearer of bad news, gang. But, as of writing, no news has been made public about the next time Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will have a free weekend. It’s bound to happen sooner or later, though I’d imagine when it does, it’ll probably be announced with little preparation time.

Because this iteration of Call of Duty is still relatively new, it makes a ton of sense why Activision doesn’t seem to be in a huge hurry to announce a new free weekend. For some perspective, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 only just launched in early November 2023.

If you’d like to be made alert when the next free weekend is announced, your best bet is either to bookmark this page — which will be updated as soon as the free weekend is announced — or follow the official Call of Duty account on social media like Twitter or Facebook.
