Will Dragon’s Dogma 2 be on Game Pass?

As of the time of writing, Dragon’s Dogma 2 isn’t Game Pass bound. We’re still months away from its release, so Capcom or Xbox could still make an announcement in the future. We’ll update this post if there is one.

There is at least one Capcom game bound for Game Pass, however. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is making its way to the subscription service whenever it gets a solid release date. Capcom also launched Exoprimal on Xbox Game Pass earlier this year.

Those are both new IPs, however, and Dragon’s Dogma 2 might be too marquee to place on Microsoft’s service. I’d like to be wrong, however.

If you read our preview, it seems like Dragon’s Dogma 2 might be worth purchasing at full price. However, we suggest waiting for our official review before deciding if it’s worth your cash!

Update: As of the time of launch on March 22, 2024, Dragon’s Dogma 2 still doesn’t have an Xbox Game Pass window. So keep this in mind if you’re aiming to pick it up. Our review is live, so you can get a better idea of how the game plays out before buying it at full price.

Games like Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the service

If you want a similar title to Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are plenty of options. One game that it gets compared to is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The Special Edition, which is on Game Pass, comes with all the DLC, remastered art, volumetric god rays, and dynamic depth of field. If you haven’t stepped foot into this world for a long time, it might be worth returning to.

If you have an inkling to slay monsters, there’s also Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise on Game Pass. These beasts are well-designed, and the combat should whet your appetite as you wait for any epic adventures on the horizon.
