Can you play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 in third person?

Would it be the best way to play COD though?

Playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 in third person like Fortnite or Uncharted would be a thrill. However, this feature does get a bit complicated.

You can technically play Modern Warfare 3 in third person but…

The only way to play Modern Warfare 3 in third person is through the Zombies mode. There is currently no way to play the multiplayer or campaign in this camera view.

To enable the third-person feature in Modern Warfare 3‘s zombies mode, pause the game and select “Switch to Third Person.” You can also hold down the rucksack button that can be displayed on the bottom of the screen. It’s the down direction on the D-Pad by default.

Is there an advantage to playing Zombies in third person?

To me, playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3‘s Zombies mode in third person is fantastic. It lets you see the map in a larger aspect, so you can spot zombies and mercenaries clearly. If you need a more focused view of the action, you can then switch to a first-person view immediately.

With this angle, you can also get a better outlook of where each quest may be and where your target could be standing. You’d also be able to keep watch on your teammates as well and revive them if need be.

How to switch sides

To switch the angle of your third-person perspective, you’ll want to press the left analog stick while aiming. You can then view the action to your liking. It may be the difference between life and death in this difficult MW3 mode.
