How To Solve The Secret Blue Gem Riddle in World of Horror

What great terrors lie in hiding behind the night skies?

World Of Horror is finally out. This indie title finds inspiration in the works of various authors such as Junji Ito to bring us an interesting amalgamation of horror experiences and mysteries.

As with all great horror, few things are what they seem in World Of Horror. One of the most elusive mysteries you’ll find within is the Blue Gem’s riddle. Let’s solve that once and for all, shall we?

To begin, you’ll need to start investigating a mystery. A good pick is the “Macabre Memoir of Morbid Mermaids” because it’ll allow you to investigate all the areas related to this riddle.

The first place you need to head to is Downtown, where you’ll find the “Dog Shop”. Start shopping for items, then spam the “DISCOUNT ITEM” button on your left until the blue gem appears on the right. Once it shows up, it’s time to acquire it.

Now that you have the blue gem, it’s time to head over to the seaside. You’ll need to investigate the seaside until you get an event called “Lighthouse Rumor.”

The event will appear randomly, so it might take you a few tries. In this run, it took me 3 Investigation attempts and an (unprovoked) battle against a seal. After triggering the Lighthouse event, you’ll need to go to the school. Investigate the school until you get the “Empty Corridor (Or Is It?)” event.

Once you trigger that event, it’s time to visit the final location in this quest, the forest. Investigate the forest until you trigger the event “Strange Lights”.

And that’s all you need to do to conclude the blue gem riddle. Check out below if you want to see what you’ve just brought upon yourself.

Your actions will prompt a UFO to show up and abduct your character.

That seems like a grim fate — even for this game — but it turns out that…

…our character got abducted by dogs. Hell yeah! That’s probably the least creepy alien abduction scenario I can think of.

The quest concludes with the announcement of a game called Galaxy Of Horror, which I’m just gonna guess is completely bogus. Either way, this feels like a nod to both the UFO endings from the Silent Hill series as well as to the dog ending from Silent Hill 2, so it’s a mystery I highly recommend to all players

You can now get Shibe-ducted in World Of Horror on PC, Mac OS, Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
