Spider-Man 2 has an explosive beginning that has you sparring against Marko who has turned into Sandman. Though he’s destroying New York, it’s clear that something is bugging him.
Although Peter and Miles are able to get Marko locked up again, they also discover that his mind has been fragmented and scattered throughout the city. Collect all the pieces and you’ll discover what has got Marko so riled up.
Marko’s Memories side story
In Spider-Man 2, Kraven the Hunter is on the hunt for the biggest and baddest superheroes and villains to take on. He wants to prove his strength while ensuring his death only comes from the greatest warrior. Kraven’s desire for a tough competitor eventually leads to him learning about Sandman.
As you collect the various fragments of Marko’s memories, you’ll learn that Marko discovered that Kraven was searching for him. He attempted to get help, but nobody would take him seriously. When his daughter, Keemia Marko, went missing, he lost control and turned into Sandman.
After finding all the shards, you’ll discover a statue of Marko and his daughter. Take this to Keemia, and this will give Marko a sliver of happiness while giving hope to Keemia that she will reunite with her father in the future.
Spider-Man 2 features plenty of moments that reveal that the villains of New York aren’t as simple as they initially appear. You’ll also learn a lot more about Mr. Negative who has a longtime conflict with Miles Morales.
