In January, we introduced you to Team6 Game Studios’s Glacier2 — an arcade racing title for the Wii. Since then, the game has received a new name. Gone are the days of ramming numbers next to letters. The game’s new name is Glacier 2: Hell on Ice. It’s tacky, but loads better than what we previously had to write.

Like the Halo: Recon switch, it doesn’t appear that the game’s innards have changed. It’s still a Burnout-ish title, with a setting confined to frigid “mountains of death” (or the Alps, if you want to be politically correct). It will have players utilizing a variety of vehicle-mounted weaponry (rockets, machine guns, and even sniper rifles) in order to reach first place in a variety of races. We have a couple of screens of the game, so check those out if you’re interested.

The game is hitting retail in September.
