It’s a blast getting around in Spider-Man 2 thanks to web-swinging. However, sometimes you want to get to the next objective without all the fancy acrobatics. Fast travel is available to help you out, though you won’t be able to use it immediately.
To unlock fast travel, you’ll need to get a bit of work done but it’s worth it in the end, as you’ll be able to instantly jump to wherever you need to be in New York.
Fast travel in Spider-Man 2
In Spider-Man 2, New York City is divided into boroughs. These boroughs are further divided into districts. By completing activities within each district, you’ll eventually unlock the ability to fast travel.
You’re not limited to main story missions to unlock fast travel. Activities you can complete include Photo Ops, Prowler Stash, EMF experiments, and side story missions to name a few. Fast travel in Spider-Man 2 is impressively fast, and in the blink of an eye, you can find yourself on the other end of the map.
Don’t become too reliant on fast travel once you’ve unlocked a few districts to fast travel to, as you’ll miss out on crimes around the city. Stop the crooks, and you’ll score some XP to help you level up
