Lords of the Fallen multiplayer

Is Lords of the Fallen going to have multiplayer?

Will the upcoming Soulslike have multiplayer functionality?

The reboot of Lords of the Fallen is right around the corner with an October 13 release. The Soulslike features a ton of builds, massive boss fights, and that classic intense Soulslike difficulty. For the genre, multiplayer functionality has become somewhat of a staple, with games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring allow multiplayer co-op and PvP. However, recent entries to the genre, like Lies of P, have had no multiplayer at all. You may be wondering: Is Lords of the Fallen going to have multiplayer?

Does Lords of the Fallen have multiplayer co-op?

Yes, Lords of the Fallen has multiplayer co-op. Unlike the Souls and Elden Ring series’, Lords of the Fallen allows players to join each other co-operatively without the use of in-game items. In fact, you can navigate to a Social Menu inside the settings where you can invite your friends. Even though it’s a bit of a safety net, there’s something about the feeling of being able to summon another player to help you out on an especially tough encounter in a Soulslike game. Some argue it’s against the spirit of the genre, but I think it’s just nice to have the option.

Also, while similar games in the genre only allow you to team up for boss fights, you can actually play Lords of the Fallen co-operatively at any time. Whether you’re looking to explore an area or take down a boss, you can invite a friend to join you on your journey at any time.

Is there PvP in Lords of the Fallen?

For those looking to PvP in Lords of the Fallen, there will be a dedicated mode for it. The developers have yet to reveal the details of the mechanics but have revealed that players can in fact invade the game of others.

Invasions can take place anywhere in the world, but there are also PVP-designated areas similar to the arena in Dark Souls 3. Invading players will spawn near the Host in their world, with only one life. However, Invaders only have one life, so if they die they will be sent back to their world.

Now that you know Lords of the Fallen is going to have multiplayer, you can plan out your adventure accordingly. Do you plan to attempt it Solo or with a friend?
