Can you romance Judy as a male in Cyberpunk 2077?

There are many adventures to be had while galavanting throughout Cyberpunk 2077. Perhaps the greatest one is finding love in a dystopian future. V has several options available to them, but are these prospective partners willing to reciprocate those feelings of ardor? Specifically, what of renowned braindance editor, Judy Alvarez?

I hate to break it to you, dude V, but Judy simply isn’t interested. Sure, the two of you can become good chooms and have grand times, but that’s where it ends. However, things don’t get too much better for lady V as Judy makes it no secret that she desperately wants out of Night City.

There are some mods out there that make it possible for male V to romance Judy, but this feels like a weird moral area. If you’re one for modding a game to Hell and back simply to see what’s possible, that’s one thing. However, if you’re changing the behavior of a character who canonically doesn’t swing the way you want them to? It definitely pings the Uncomfortable Radar.

There are games like Baldur’s Gate 3 that have “solved” this conundrum by making everyone but the chaste Withers down to clown. As I said, it’s a weird grey area as they’re not real people, but when engaging in a story, we’re expected to treat them as such. Either way, you have your answer. If Judy is the apple of your eye, you had best play as lady V.
