Can you steal the Fortuna in Starfield?

The Fortuna must be worth a fortune.

Players who have worked through the Freestar Rangers missions in Starfield will come across Marco Graziani, and more specifically his ship: the Fortuna. During the mission On the Run, you will hunt down Marco who is a rich financier up to some pretty preposterous things. His ship is one of a kind, a massive beast with a luxurious interior including defensive turrets. With such a special ship, you’re probably wondering, can you steal the Fortuna in Starfield?

Are you able to steal Marco’s ship in Starfield?

Unfortunately no, you can not steal the Fortuna in Starfield. Even though the ship may look like an actual real ship, in terms of game code, the Fortuna is actually a static building like an outpost or cave. The ship cannot actually go into space in any way, which makes it impossible to steal or in any way pilot. In fact, there isn’t even a cockpit on the Fortuna.

Can you build a ship similar to the Fortuna in the shipbuilder?

Because the Fortuna is not an actual ship, none of the parts visible appear to be actual parts you can use in the shipbuilder. Also, you will quickly realize that the Fortuna technically has two stories. There is no such ship part in Starfield that will allow you to make a ship like that. Without the parts existing in the shipbuilder, it’s just not possible to build a ship like the Fortuna at this time.

A glimmer of hope, however, is modding. There have been some pretty spectacular mods for Starfield already, so it’s definitely possible someone will mod in the Fortuna as an actual flyable ship at some point. Of course, we’ll probably see some other cool ships eventually added via modding support so you may not even want to use the Fortuna.
