All Blue Medallion locations in Chapter 2

Your first request to destroy those annoying blue medallions is in the Cliff area of chapter two. It’s in the exact same spot as the mountain symbol puzzle, meaning you get two fun tasks for the price of one. Good for you! There are four medallions in the Cliff area, and here’s how to get them all.

Cliff Medallion 1

Start from the puzzle pedestal and look toward the rickety platform to which you can grapple. Hanging on the platform is your first medallion:

Cliff Medallion 2

Grapple across and take out the enemy ganado if you haven’t already. The Blue Medallion request paper is nailed to the post on your right. You might as well grab it. The second medallion is in front of you, hanging from the side of the cliff:

Cliff Medallion 3

Turn around and head back toward the grapple point. Stop before grappling over and aim down and to the left. You’ll see the third medallion hanging from a wooden beam just above the top of a tree:

After you destroy the third medallion, pan up. You’ll see the last medallion hanging from a rocky point on the cliff wall:

The second medallion request won’t appear until the courtyard maze in chapter four. The request — asking for five medallions this time — will appear after you acquire the Gold Bottle. You can find the request paper hanging to the left of the Merchant. Getting all the medallions at the Courtyard is more fun than at the cliff due to how smoothly the journey goes. So let’s get to it!

Courtyard Medallion 1

You chase down a chanting cultist leader after entering the maze, so I suggest finishing him off before hunting down the medallions.

Let’s start at the entrance to the maze. It’ll be much smoother this way. Start by walking toward the maze tower in front of you. Just before you pass under the arch, look up. You’ll see the first medallion in the tower:

Courtyard Medallion 2

From the first medallion, turn 180 degrees and pan up. The second medallion is hanging in the window of the elevated hallway:

Courtyard Medallion 3

Turn left after shooting the second medallion and head into the maze entrance — and stop! Look to the right and up. There’s an overhanging post you can grapple. Zip over the wall and glance immediately to your right. The third medallion is in the dog cage:

Looking at the dog cage, turn 180 degrees and head to the wall. Turn left and hug the wall on your right side until you find another maze tower. Go near the tower to the right a bit and look inside. The medallion is hanging within; you should have a good enough angle:

Courtyard Medallion 5

The final medallion is near. Look left from the tower. You should see a passageway that goes under an elevated hallway. Go through and then turn around. Look up, and the final medallion is there, begging to get shot:

Congrats! You have found the locations and destroyed all those pesky Blue Medallions in the Separate Ways DLC.

What do you get for taking out the medallions?

Other than a keen sense of self-satisfaction, you do get a reward for hunting down all the medallions.

Medallion request at the Cliff:

  • Six spinel

Medallion request at the Courtyard:

  • Seven spinel

You need to turn the requests in to the Merchant to claim your prizes.
