RE4 Separate Ways DLC: How to solve the Ada castle lithograph puzzle

It's not as hard as it looks!

Although Ada has her own unique flavor of badassery to show off in the Resident Evil 4 remake Separate Ways DLC; she’s also constantly stopped in her tracks with puzzles to solve. Here’s how to easily clear the lithograph puzzle in the castle!

Step 1: Grab both of the missing lithographs nearby

After splitting up with Luis in Chapter 4, Ada will be tasked with finding the ingredients to stave off the infection plaguing the game’s cast: and to do that, you’ll need to get through a mandatory lithograph puzzle.

To even kick off the actual act of solving the puzzle, you’ll need to grab two missing litographs nearby. One of them is on a bench right next to the symbols on the wall. The other is around the corner (head right after exiting the lithograph puzzle room), next to the merchant. The exact location of both lithographs can be found in the gallery above.

Step 2: Place the lithographs into the empty slots, and solve the puzzle

You might have already mastered these types of puzzles in the core game, but just in case, here’s a refresher. Interact with the lithograph puzzle and place both missing tiles into the wall. Now, you’ll need to actually solve the puzzle.

Notice the left and top symbols are easily visible on the stone next to the tile indentations? Those denote the correct symbols you’ll need to place in said indent to make the door open. Notice how two of them are rubbed off, but are vaguely blue-colored.

Flip the tiles with L1/R1 (LB/RB) to swap sides and match up the symbols that are completely visible, then place the other tiles into the right and bottom indentations. From here, all you need to do is a few quick swaps for everything to be in order. If you highlight a tile, you can swap it with another one, and continue to flip them at will when they are selected.

The precise solution can be found in the gallery above!
