Are you the type that would rather conquer than cooperate? Tired of your partner dragging ass, taking the team down? You’ll now be able to take out your frustrations on them with the upcoming new mode called “Versus.”
Coming after launch, the Versus mode will be paid digital download content for Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. It lets four players go at it online in two game types: Slayer’s Rule and Survivor’s Rule. Slayer’s Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis. In Survivor’s Rule, players hunt each other. Both one-on-one and two-on-two will be supported. And it’s not just Chris and Sheva: two other secret characters will be announced soon. I bet you can guess who they’ll be.
Release details: Versus will be available on Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network a few weeks after Resident Evil 5 is available. Versus will be available for 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $4.99 on the PlayStation Network.
[Update: Bad Capcom! We were originally told that the mode would be available on PSN for $3.99, but that’s not the case. It’s $4.99, so go find another dollar. The story has been updated accordingly.]
