No, really. Clap. And mumble. And that’s about it for the karaoke minigame.
I guess it can’t all be sunshine and flowers; there had to be something I didn’t like about Yakuza 3. I thought it was going to be the recycled combat, though. Now that I’ve seen this video of what I’m going to call the interruptive karaoke spectator minigame, I can’t help but feel like some of the wind has been taken out of my sails.
Don’t get me wrong, I still want this game Sega-made PS3 title. But I’m not thrilled about clapping along or hitting a tambourine to the beat. I can do that anytime while I’m stuck rolling my eyes at another Rock Band game. Oh, but there’s little vocal shouts of encouragement, too. The problem is that by the end of this clip, Kazuma’s shouts become full-on disruptive sentences that seem to drown out the singer.
Oh well. There’s still the hostess clubs to look forward to.
