The standard edition costs $39.99, which is cheaper than most games on day one, but it will be a barrier to entry for many players. There are no plans to bring a free-to-play version as of writing.

Unfortunately, Payday 3 will not be on PlayStation Plus Extra‘s huge library of games. However, if you want a different shooter set in New York City, you can play The Division 2 through PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium.
