Literature may help you learn more about the past, and inĀ Baldur’s Gate 3, it helps in the present by solving the Chamber of Insight puzzle. As books soar around the room, you’ll need to do some catching and reading to figure out what the right answer is.
This puzzle is part of the trial to meet with Ansur, the ancient dragon slumbering beneath Baldur’s Gate. Though you can end up here by pure circumstance, it is a part of Wyll’s journey and is given to you by his dad, provided you save the Grand Duke from the Iron Throne.
The Chamber of Insight is one of four puzzles you’ll need to solve, and this one is a test in reading comprehension. Let’s refresh ourselves.
How to read the books in the Chamber of Insight inĀ Baldur’s Gate 3
Upon entering, you’ll be presented with three candidates and asked to determine who is an enemy of the city. Scattered around are various texts, all detailing information about the ghosts standing at the end of the pathway.
The problem is, some of these books zip around like they’re straight out of a magical school. And the book you’ll need info from is one of the moving ones. Thankfully,Ā Baldur’s Gate 3Ā confirms what we all already knew: books count as monsters.
Cast Hold Monster, and you can lock down a book long enough to read it. Or you can just skip to this section of our handy-dandy guide and read it here. Either way works for me.
Baldur’s Gate 3Ā Chamber of Insight puzzle solution
The answer to which ethereal being is an enemy of the city isĀ Suleto. Their position on razing everything to the ground in the name of conquest? Not very conducive to civilized existence.
Bonk Suleto on the head with your weapon, and you’ll pass the Chamber of Insight with flying colors. Now, head on over to other Chambers like Strategy, Courage, or Justice to continue on your way to Ansur.
