Fanning the flames

Though Fire Arrows don’t make a return from Breath of the Wild, Link’s ability to fuse items means he still has access to flaming projectiles. One of the ways Link can make a flaming arrow is by fusing one with a Fire Fruit. Of course, to do this, lots of Fire Fruits are necessary.

This guide will explain where to farm Fire Fruit in Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to buy Fire Fruit in Tears of the Kingdom

Fire Fruit is not to be confused with Spicy Pepper. Plenty of Fire Fruits can be found in the wild, but if you’re feeling lazy, they can also be purchased. Head to Tabantha Bridge Stable and buy four Fire Fruits for 12 Rupees apiece. Alternatively, visit Goron City. There are five Fire Fruits available for the same price.

Where to find Fire Fruit in Tears of the Kingdom

If you’re in the mood to forage, there are a few recommended spots to check out. In Hyrule Field, there is a Cherry Blossom Tree just north of Yamiyo Shrine. It is surrounded by four Fire Fruit trees, netting you 12 Fire Fruits. The coordinates are: 0321, 0528, 0023.

Perhaps the best method for getting Fire Fruit involves exploiting In-isa Shrine on the Great Sky Island. Enter the shrine, bust through the concrete wall (or use a shield and Zonai rocket to fly over), and turn right. You’ll find two rows of trees holding Fire Fruit. With three Fire Fruits on each three, you can collect 18 pieces for free. If you need more, simply exit the shrine and re-enter it!

The shrine trick is a way to potentially have an infinite source of Fire Fruit. The same trick can be applied to Yamiyo Shrine, which is located in Central Hyrule.

Fire Fruit uses in Tears of the Kingdom

As previously stated, you can fuse a Fire Fruit with an arrow to make a flaming arrow. Alternatively, you can eat a Fire Fruit to replenish a quarter of a heart, or it can be thrown into a meal that’ll raise Link’s attack power in hot environments. Lastly, you can head to one of the Great Fairies to upgrade the Ember armor set using Fire Fruits.

If you’re looking to find a chilling advantage instead, collect Ice Fruit. Instead of burning enemies, it freezes them, and when it is cooked, it creates meals that raise Link’s attack power in cold environments.
