Break a Leg!

The Zonai tech in Tears of the Kingdom changes the way players interact with the world. From building contraptions that boggle the mind, to making something simple to get around Hyrule faster. However, the Zonai tech plays a very important role in the overall plot of the game, including the construction of the Fifth Sage.

Left Leg Depot location & completion guide Tears of the Kingdom

To access the Construct Factory, and by proxy the Left-Leg Depot, you’ll need to complete some prerequisite missions beforehand. After you’ve completed “Regional Phenomena” as well as the mini-dungeon in Hyrule Castle, you’ll have to make your way back to Kakriko Village to begin the quest “Secret of the Ring Ruins

Completing this quest, and removing the storm from the Dragonhead Isles, you’ll have to interact with a door that requires hearts to open. Once it’s open, you’ll begin the quest “Guidance from Ages Past”. The quest is fairly straightforward, having Link carry a Zonai relic to an elevator and riding the elevator down. Once in the Depths, you’ll be at the Construct factory. Putting the Relic in the Head Slot will light up four depots around the factory. Each depot corresponds to a missing limb on the construct in the middle.

The Left Leg is located in the southwest corner of the factory. If you’re facing Lightroot behind the elevator you came in on, it’ll be the one on your left. The depot entrances are lit up, and they’re not far from where you started, making them hard to miss. Heading into the Left Leg Depot, you’ll need to interact with the Zonai hologram to the right of the two elevators. This will spawn in the Left Leg, encased in a box. Don’t worry, the box will break once you bring it to the Construct.

Place the box on one of the elevators, Rockets should be attached to them already. Jump on the elevator with the left leg, and activate the rockets to launch both Link and the left leg to the second level.  On the second floor, you’ll see that the bridge is out, so you’ll have to think outside the box to cross the gap with the left leg.

Use the handle to rotate the broken bridge at an angle, turning it into a makeshift ramp. There’s a Zonai capsule machine you can use to gain some equipment for this task, though the game has placed everything you need on the floor.

Place rockets on each side of the left leg, and place that onto the ramp. From here, you can activate it to send the leg flying to the final level, or, if you want to ride with it, put a steering stick on top.

Once you make it to the final level, all you need to do is take the leg to the construct. However, there’s a hidden chest at the top of the elevator in the final level. You don’t need to bring the leg up to it, but you can take the elevator up the same way you did when you started the depot. From here, you can use the Ultrahand to bring down two stone slabs with Zonaite on them, and a chest containing a large Zonaite. Or you can just damage boost through them.

The slabs do have carts on the bottom, which could be helpful for transporting the leg. Once you do make it back to the construct with the box, it’ll break, and you can pop the leg back in!

Once the construct is complete, you’ll be able to tackle the Spirit Temple!
