How to get the 3-plate Comms Vest in DMZ Warzone

Time to barter for your life

DMZ is all the more interesting these days with the barter system. With it, players aren’t limited to only the items they can scavenge on the map or off of other players, as they can craft their own gear. This even includes the 3-plate Comms Vest in Warzone’s DMZ mode.

How to craft the 3-plate Comms Vest in DMZ

To get the 3-plate Comms Vest in DMZ, players need to focus on first unlocking the ability to use this item in the first place. Unfortunately, there is a prerequisite that you have to worry about. You’ll need to first reach level two with the White Lotus faction.

To do this, complete any missions that the White Lotus faction gives you in DMZ until you reach faction level two. At this point, you can head to any buy station in a DMZ match, select the barter section, and see the option to craft a 3-plate Comms Vest.

Here’s what you need:

  • Encrypted hard drive
  • Soothing hand cream
  • Two batteries

For soothing hand cream and batteries, simply check any house or office you visit. They have a random chance of hiding these items in crates and as floor loot for you to pick up. Afterwards, you’ll want to head to offices and other large buildings for a hard drive.

I recommend going to Al Mazrah City or the Police Station on Vondel, as you’ll often find hard drives there. Once you have the right items, you can craft the 3-plate Comms Vest at any buy station.

What the 3-plate Comms Vest does

The importance of the 3-plate Comms Vest is twofold. The first is its ability to upgrade your armor plate capacity to three in total, which is much better than the default two. But it also has an additional feature for fans of UAVs.

Any UAV you use while wearing this vest will last for longer, allowing you to see the enemies around you. In addition, it beeps a warning to you whenever there is an enemy too close to you or one of your squad mates.

This is my favorite special vest in DMZ because it helps more aggressive teams to excel in matches. Though there aren’t a ton of other players in DMZ compared to battle royale, this can help you avoid problems with players interfering whenever you’re extracting with your loot.
