Several outfits in Tears of the Kingdom reference earlier titles in The Legend of Zelda franchise. This is true of the Time Armor set which is a throwback to Ocarina of Time. To find all three pieces of this nostalgic set, Link will have to dive into the Depths, so bring along some Brightbloom Seeds and Gloom-curing meals.

This guide will explain how to get the Time Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tips for Venturing the Depths

Feeling through the darkness of the Depths can be fun, but there are a few ways to make things easier. Knowing this information is necessary for finding the Cap of Time. Firstly, lightroots are located directly beneath shrines.

The names of the lightroots are also the names of the shrines backward. Use this information to aid navigation when traveling from one lightroot to the next. Additionally, rivers in Hyrule usually align with walls in the Depths. Hence, the rivers on the maps outline boundaries in the depths.

The legs are the easiest piece to get, so it’s a good idea to start with them. Head to Gerudo Highlands and locate the Gerudo Summit Chasm. This is not too far from the Yiga Clan hideout and the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower. The precise coordinates are: -4222, -0638, 0679.

Dive into the chasm, and Link will pretty much land directly on top of the ruins that contain the trousers. The coordinates of the treasure chest are: -4179, -0698, -1121. It is east of the Mustuto Lightroot, so light it up if you’re having trouble seeing things.

The Tunic of Time isn’t too hard to find either. To get to it, travel to Hyrule Ridge Chasm first. It is located near Runakit Shrine, and the coordinates are: -2654, 1133, 0175. After diving in, Link will land near Tikanur Lightroot.

From the lightroot, travel east. There is plenty of Gloom along the way, so throw on a Gloom-resistant outfit such as the Tunic of the Depths set or mount one of the Stalhorses nearby. Eventually, Link will arrive at Lindor Canoy Mine where the treasure chest containing the Tunic of Time is found. The coordinates are: -2001, 1309, -0715.

The last piece is the hardest to attain, mostly because there are no nearby chasms. To start the journey, jump down Hyrule Ridge Chasm. Once Link’s in the Depths, head northwest until Kawumoro Lightroot has been found.

From Kawumoro, continue heading in a northwesterly direction. Use the map of Hyrule above ground to steer away from Abandoned Hebra Mine which is surrounded by walls. Eventually, Link will reach Worihas Lightroot, which stands under Sahirow Shrine.

A little more light is needed, so head north to light up the Mu-ufatur Lightroot and Muotue Lightroot. Once again, use the shrines on land to guide you. With the Depths illuminated, head southwest until Link reaches a platform containing Zonai gadgets.

Construct a hot-air balloon and rise to a pillar of stone standing beside a lavafall. It is extremely hot here, so put on some Flame Guard clothing. At the top of a stone pillar is a treasure chest containing the Cap of Time. The coordinates are: -4079, 2799, -0450.

All the pieces of the set have a base defense of 3, though they can be upgraded by a Great Fairy if you have Star Fragments and minerals. For other pieces that reference past titles, consider hunting down the Twilight Armor set and Wild Armor set.
