Contra action figures hit the scene; Teela breaks up with He-Man

I am not a toy expert like our brothers and sisters over at Tomopop.com, but I know a good toy when I see one. And, man, these Mad Dog & Scorpion Contra action figures are some damn good toys.

Created by John “Jin-Saotome” Mallamas using parts from other action figures, the Contra characters alone would be reason enough to have to hide your retro boner behind your Trapper Keeper. But what takes these figures over the edge are the made-from-scratch weapons! Attached to the guns with magnets (meaning they can be switched out), the artist recreated the Machine Gun, Laser, and fan-favorite Spread Gun shots from the classic arcade shooter. So awesome.
