Today Deep Silver dumped a few screenshots for their upcoming horror title Cursed Mountain. It’s a game for the Wii … and it’s compelling. It feels foreign to write that, but my fingers are really digging it. A compelling title for the Wii.
I actually wrote that seventy more times, but I started to get freaked. I don’t want to experience a psychotic break and put an axe through Destructoid’s office door again. (That first time was an accident.)
The screens show off the mountainous locale of the game, which is something Dyson talked to Deep Silver about many moons ago. “I think the focus will be on the scary moments in relationship to locals that you interact with. The point of view that we had with the setting is that, in the ’80s, it was not a tourist thing to go on a mountain,” the studio said. “In the ’80s, it was different, and back then local people hadn’t seen so many Westerners. A few of them felt that the tourists may be good for business and that something positive may come of it…”
Perhaps best thing about Cursed Mountain is that it will have mature content. Deep Silver already flat out stated that they expect an “M” rating by the ESRB. We like the prospects. Hopefully, the game meets our expectations.
