Sahirow Shrine location and solution for Tears of the Kingdom (Totk)

Recommended Videos

Sahirow Shrine is a classic Zelda puzzle that gets more complex the further into it you get. It’s a fun one to complete in Tears of the Kingdom, even if it might also be frustrating at times. The challenge in Sahirow is all about how well you can maneuver Link, especially when under a time limit. We’ll cover every section of the shrine below, but first, let’s take a look at how to find it.

How to find Sahirow Shrine inĀ Tears of the Kingdom

Sahirow Shrine is located in the Hebra Mountains area of the map, which is all the way in the northwest region of Hyrule. The icy location will require at least one piece of cold-resistant gear or plenty of cold-resistant food/other items to survive.

The easiest way to get to the shrine is after unlocking the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Use the tower and glide almost directly east. You should see the shrine as soon as you are facing the correct direction in the air. With enough stamina, you can glide straight to its location, just below Corvash Peak. Check the screenshot above for the precise location on the map.

How to complete Sahirow Shrine

When you enter the shrine, you will have a laser directly ahead of you. Itā€™s easy enough to pass this laser. Simply jump over it. However, if you touch the laser, the trap door in front of it will open and cause Link to fall. Time your jump correctly to make it over this first obstacle. For all of the lasers like this, sprinting and jumping is the best way to easily clear them.

The next laser maze is a lot more complex than the first. The entire floor, from the first laser to the last laser, is a trap door. Therefore, if you touch any of the lasers at any point, Link will fall, and you will have to start again.

To get through this section, jump over the first laser. Crouch and walk under the second. Then, zigzag crouch under the three diagonal lasers.

After the three diagonal lasers, climb up to the top of the platform on the right and use Linkā€™s glide ability to safely navigate past the final three lasers.

After the laser maze, youā€™ll come to a moving platform that Link cannot reach. Use Ascend when standing underneath the platform to get to the next level.

Turn to the right and crouch to walk under the laser and across the trap door. On the other side is a chest behind a gate. Use Ultrahand to grab one of the stone boxes and place it so that it is touching the laser and the trap door opens. When it opens, the gate in front of the chest will also open, allowing you to receive your prize. Open the chest to receive a Spicy Elixir that will give you cold resistance against snowy and mountainous areas. Perfect if you ran out of cold resisting items on the way here.

Next, head through the door across the room opposite the chest. It will immediately slam shut behind you, so be prepared for the next laser. In this section, the laser is moving back and forth across the trap door, which is the length of the room. Time your jump just right to clear the laser as it moves toward you. Then, make your way to the end of the room before it turns around and comes back.

The next section is a variation of the last one. Once again, the door will slam shut behind you, and a moving laser will come toward you. This time all you need to do is crouch under the laser to get to the other side.

In the final section, there is what can only be described as an impassable laser that is once again on the move. Thereā€™s no way to crouch or jump your way through this matrix-shaped laser. Instead, wait for the laser structure to come toward you, ready the Ascend ability, and use it when the lasers are close enough to you so that the top of the structure is above your head.

Once you reach the top of the laser structure, you can safely glide to the end.

Thatā€™s it! Sahirow Shrine is complete.
