Not only is it useful for just getting around places where it’s not specifically designed for it: the way it’s incorporated into many puzzles is genius. That includes the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower: here’s where to find it, and how to unlock it.

Where to find the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower

The Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower is in the far western portion of Hyrule, directly above the Gerudo desert, in the mountains.

You can find the precise location of the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower on the map above. As a bit of advice, using the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower to get here will make things a lot easier, as it’s nearly a straight shot northwest.

How to solve the puzzle of the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom

Once you actually solve this puzzle you’ll kick yourself for how easy it is, but it’s not obvious at first glance if you aren’t reading the journals nearby. Head into the cave directly behind the tower on the cliffside, and veer right. Dive into the water and go down the waterfall in the depths below.

Your job is to get directly underneath the tower and Ascend. To do that you’ll need to move the giant board near the waterfall to the boxes under the giant platform. Use Ultrahand to manipulate the board and jam it between the two platforms in the water. Use Ascend, look up, and rise right into the tower.

Interact with the podium and you’ll unlock the tower! Note the wonky positioning of this particular location as it’s underground: how’s that for shoddy craftsmanship?
