We’re back in Resident Evil 4 remake town for yet another request: and this is one of the grossest yet. Here’s how to take down all four insect hive entrances in Chapter 11.

Get through the second minecart section of Chapter 11 to find the insect hive

After starting Chapter 11, you’ll find yourself galavanting through an underground area with Luis. Climb the ladder and either complete the TNT section to acquire the detonator or use the skip.

Following that section, you’ll have to square off against two El Gigante enemies. We have a full guide on how to take down El Gigantes here.

Beyond that, you’ll need to complete two minecart sections to make it to the hive. You’ll know you’ve made it once Luis makes the comment that “you can see where they dug up the bugs.”

Once you’re at the hive, look up to spot the entrances

After the subsequent rough landing, you’ll be smack dab in the middle of the hive. To take down the entrances, you’ll need to shoot the pulsing yellow spots on the hive itself.

The best way to take them out is to use a handgun, which has plenty of range and power to take on the hive. You’ll only need a few bullets for each hive entrance.

Here’s an easy visual guide for the two spots needed to take down all four entrances

You can actually take down all four hive entrances in under a minute. Here’s how:

  • Your first stop is on the ground floor of the underground hive zone. Drop down to the bottom directly after the bridge crumbles, and look up. You can see two hive entrances right there. Shoot them with your pistol. You’re already halfway done!
  • Continue north around the ring and up a ramp: as soon as you exit the covered area, look up. You can spot the other two entrances. Ding! You’re done! Turn the request in via The Merchant as soon as you’re able.
