In a recent interview with Latin America’s official Nintendo magazine Club Nintendo, NOA President Reggie Fils-Aime acknowledged the issue with storage on the Wii, and that the company is currently working on a solution. He also mentioned that the solution might not necessarily be a hard drive.
I want the people to have the right expectations. We have never said that it will be a hard drive, nor have we mentioned how we will fix this issue, but we are going to deliver a better way to store games.
If by “right expectations” Fils-Aime meant “hard drive” then it looks like Nintendo and I are on the same page. Unfortunately, the Nintendo boss’ next line is spent tiptoeing around the idea of the rational and easy fix that a hard drive would provide. If only Nintendo realized how many times I’ve deleted StarFox.
