Nintendo’s newly announced DS revision, the DSi will have more RAM than its predecessors. The revelation of the upgrade has been brought about by an unusual source. In an interview with TechTree, Opera CEO Jon von Tezchner said that his browser would utilize the newly acquired RAM more efficiently.
From the interview:
Yes, the DSi has more RAM than the DS Lite. In addition, with integrated Opera coming with the DSi, it will use RAM more efficiently.
Will this translate to the games specifically built for the machine? Nintendo hasn’t commented on the enhancement, so we’re a bit in the dark. Although, I believe it’s only a matter of time before the amount of Pokemon shown on-screen jumps from 10 to 150. In that vein, I really hope all the Pokemon are Gravelers — because those things rock.
[Thanks, Adam!]
