Sometimes I wonder if I am the last journalist on the planet that still has some hope for Too Human. It’s been a long ride for Denis Dyack and Silicon Knights, and its all about to culminate this Tuesday when Too Human hits store shelves for the Xbox 360. Today, in an interview with Kikizo, Dyack mentioned something that doesn’t necessarily jive with all the previews for the game thus far. He said that Too Human has the propensity to last up to eighty hours if players are willing to put in some effort:
First play through is probably around fifteen hours, I guess, it depends. To get to level fifty, it’s anywhere from fifty to eighty hours. It’s a lot! There’s a lot there to want to dig! And to get all the epic loot – I don’t even know if it’s possible to get everything in the game, it’s probably not – not for a single person. We’ve got a pretty big team testing, and all of Silicon Knights is testing, and just last week I found a combo that I’d never tried before, and that’s a major part of the game.
Switching from gameplay time to mechanics. Sometimes I think Mr. Dyack should run for President. My question is, after the initial “fifteen hours” of play, will there be any reason to pick up the title again? Dyack has made clear that saves from the game will port to the next game in the trilogy, but will it release within this decade? How many of you are going to pick Too Human up and play until the epic level 50?
