A new combatant has been revealed for the upcoming turtle beat ’em up,Ā Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. And the newest debut for theĀ TMNTĀ lineup is none other than the master himself, Splinter.

The longtime teacher and paternal figure to the turtles will beat up some Foot Clan ninjas alongside the turtles. His arsenal looks to include some dive kicking, shadow-clone attacks, and a few good thwacks with his cane.

While Master Splinter and the rest of the TMNTĀ gang are already confirmed for PC and Switch, two more platforms are getting added today too.Ā TMNT: Shredder’s RevengeĀ will also come to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. No firm release date has been set yet for the launch, but Dotemu is aiming for sometime later this year.

TheĀ TMNTĀ franchise suits Dotemu well, given how good the Saturday morning cartoon brawler vibes are from this trailer. After working on previous beat ’em ups likeĀ Streets of Rage 4, a good standard was already set.

WithĀ TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, it seems like the beat ’em up fans will have a nice, nostalgic game to bash through. The current lineup is straightforwardā€”the Turtles, April, and Master Splinterā€”but I’m holding out hope for a left-field surprise. I mean, Casey Jones. Come on now.

We’ll see if the hockey mask-wearing vigilante ever makes it in. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew will take on the Foot Clan on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch sometime later this year.
