It ends on January 30
Nintendo is currently offering a free Nintendo Switch Online trial, but the catch is that it’s going away very soon on January 30 at 11:59PM PT. Well, there’s actually a few other catches. We’ll explain them!
Here are some terms that you’ll need to sift through first:
-
- ā¢ Your free trial will automatically convert into a monthly membership at the end of the trial period, unless you turn off automatic renewal before the end of the trial. Upon conversion of your free trial to a full membership, and on an ongoing basis thereafter, we will charge you the membership amount unless and until you turn off automatic renewal. Credit card/PayPal account required for users age 18 and up.
- ā¢ The code is valid until 2/6/2022 at 23:00 (Pacific Time).
-
- ā¢ The Free trial cannot be used with Nintendo Accounts that already have an active Individual Membership or Family Membership.
-
So the most obvious proviso: you can’t already have an active membership, family or otherwise. And because it’s a Nintendo promo, you aren’t getting premium, since the “Expansion Pack” isn’t included in the demo. But if you need to do some date finagling, you can redeem the “0 points” offer and get the code now, then actually trigger it before February 6, 2022 at 23:00 PST on any account.
In other words, if you have a friend who might want to jump online and play something with you and you have My Nintendo access, you may as well get the code and give it away.
One more week left! Get a free 7-day trial of #NintendoSwitchOnline without using any My Nintendo Platinum Points! Offer ends 1/30 at 11:59PM PT.
