Whatcha been playing this week, Destructoid?

Happy Saturday, good friends. I hope this week has found you well. Mine has been spent struggling with sleepiness, (I literally yawned while typing that sentence). The past seven days have centered around me trying desperately to kick off the covers and get out of bed. I’m not sure if it’s the warm weather, my hard work, or the 02:30 bedtimes, but this week has seen the Snooze button of my alarm clock punched into oblivion. I will make a more concerted effort to get up earlier next week, but I need my beauty sleep… A lot of it.

In terms of vidya gamez, I’ve spent many hours frantically throwing fists and feet in Guilty Gear Strive and Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, but I’ve also spent some time soaking in the morbid but oddly relaxing world of Acid Nerve’s Death’s Door, which hits PC and Xbox July 20. I’m finding its Grimm tale of lost souls and overworked crows oddly compelling, and it was refreshing to play something with a more deliberate pace than my usual button-mashing, adrenaline-pumping affairs.
