Sweep the leg
My wife is finally starting her The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild journey for the first time, and it’s like watching a kid in a candy store.
I get to relive the whole thing over again as she wanders the world of Hyrule searching for Koroks and shrines, and I couldn’t be happier. One day, I’ll replay it again on Master Mode among all of the other Zelda games I revisit over the course of my life.
For now, you can live in the moment too with the below combat technique montage from Redditor RinHara5aki. “How many of these combat techniques do you know?” is such a simple challenge, but an effective one.
To a lot of learned Breath of the Wild players, things like arrow-aiming slow-mo dodging and elongating the parry window are second nature. The same goes for frame-perfect parrying. Guardian flipping? Not so much unless you’re keen on watching stunt videos. But what this video showcases most of all, is how invincible you can feel after you nail pretty much every aspect of this video.
That’s in part where Breath of the Wild really ran away with the Game of the Year trophy for so many people. It’s appealing in the sense that it gives you the freedom to explore, but it also has a level of complexity for hardcore Zelda fans. Not everyone loved it, but it’s plain to see why it’s so beloved.
