It’s arriving in June, with the Android version coming later
[Update: Slay the Spire is now available for $10 on the App Store.]
Following a round of console ports, the fan-favorite deckbuilding roguelike game Slay the Spire is coming to iOS and Android. It’s not my thing – card games generally elude me – but even I think it’s worth talking up. It’s the type of game that might never leave your phone once it’s installed.
The iOS version is officially coming “this month,” but Mega Crit has lined up a specific release date announcement for the Guerrilla Collective live-stream that’s happening on Saturday, June 6. The Android version of Slay the Spire is further out and doesn’t have a public launch window yet.
The good news: this port will be $9.99 – a noticeable drop – and the developers say it’s the “complete, spire-climbing experience you have already enjoyed on PC (okay, no anime mods, you got us).”
They haven’t mentioned cross-save support or save transfers, so I wouldn’t expect either.
