Test drive the remake of these 16-bit classics
NIS America will release a localised demo for its retro-remake Langrisser I & II today. The demo, expected to be an English-language version of the previously released Japanese demo, is live on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, ahead of the game’s official release in March.
Those checking out the demo will gain access to several chapters from both titles, and will also bag themselves a bonus of 5,000 gold and 2 CP should they pick up the full game on release. The demo will also give players the opportunity to check out the Classic/Remastered art styles, which can be switched out at the mere press of a button.
Langrisser I & II features a fully re-drawn universe – actualised by Ar Tonelico artist Ryo Naga – as well as a fully voiced script, re-recorded soundtrack, and numerous modern-day improvements to the 16-bit adventures’ U.I., control system and more. This release will give RPG fans who may have missed out on the original releases the chance to experience these epic adventures in both their traditional and revamped form.
Langrisser I & II launches in North America on March 10, Europe on March 13, and Australia March 20 for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
