I was the one person looking forward to it
An alarming amount of 2020 games have been pushed back until later in the year.
It makes sense, it happens annually. But we’ve also had a few last-minute pushes like Final Fantasy VII Remake, Avengers and Cyberpunk 2077. Now we can add another one to the pile, though this project is considerably less mainstream.
It’s none other than the Camouflaj-developed Iron Man VR, which was revealed last year during a Sony State of Play presentation and has kept a low key presence since. Originally due to release on February 28, it’s now slated for May 15, 2020, right before E3. No direct reason was given for the delay outside of the ability to “deliver on [their] vision and meet the expectations of [their] amazing community.” Good! Delay it as long as you need to so we can get a great game and you’re comfortable developing it.
The studio says we will be “hearing from [them] again soon,” hinting at a possible appearance at the fabled February PlayStation event or another upcoming State of Play stream. While a lot of people are already jacked out of VR, I was actually looking forward to this one. At least February will be a bit less packed.
