It’s Infinity Ward’s turn again
[Update: It’s now official. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is back this October with a story campaign, multiplayer, co-op missions, and even cross-platform support between PC and console players.]
Infinity Ward has set the date for its Call of Duty 2019 reveal announcement. As promised, we’ll get our first look at this year’s game – believed to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – ahead of E3. The developer is “going dark” until Thursday, May 30 at 10:00am Pacific / 1:00pm Eastern. Then it’s showtime.

Fittingly, this teaser has the same mood as Infinity Ward’s lead-in for 2009’s Modern Warfare 2.
I’m not at all bothered by the back-to-basics naming convention (it happens all the dang time in gaming), but I’m curious to see how much of a supposed “soft reboot” Call of Duty: Modern Warfare actually ends up being. Either way, I want to see what Infinity Ward’s been up to lately.
