Red Dead Redemption 2 will have a stupidly deep wildlife ecosystem. Rockstar boasts more than 200 animal and fish species, all of it prime for hunting. Like, considerations have to be made to use appropriately-sized ammunition for different sizes of prey. Or, you have to mask your scent or stay downwind, or else some animals will know they’re being hunted.

Some of these catches and kills will be used for supplies. Eat them for sustenance or sell them for money. But, another use is to unleash your inner fashionista. These animals make mighty fine accessories.

Which brings us to the point of this blog. Red Dead Redemption 2 lets you wear a gottdang rat on your hat. Look at this mostly-innocuous screenshot:

Now, ENHANCE:

That’s a rat, clear as day, hanging out on top of your head. His little rat claws all jumbled and twisted up, his dumb rat teeth poking out of his dumb rat mouth. Is this a particularly stylish look? No, reader, it is not. Are you gonna do it anyway? Yes, reader, you are. Affixing vermin to your head is an opportunity that video games rarely afford us. You’d be a fool to pass this up.
