But otherwise not all that different
Listings for the three recently-announced Dead Rising remasters have appeared on the Xbox Store, and on top of including the first round of rather compressed screenshots (DR1 is noticeably more crisp than the Xbox 360 original), they mention which studios are working on the ports for Capcom.
QLOC, the company behind DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition and Devil May Cry HD Collection, is handling Dead Rising for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Meanwhile, Mercenary Technology, which worked on God of War III Remastered and Dead Rising 2 for PC, is porting Dead Rising 2 and the Frank West-starring sequel Off the Record to PS4 and Xbox One.
For more screenshots, follow the links below. I wasn’t expecting a dramatic rework of the character models, textures, or lighting, so these all look adequate to me. I mostly want a chance to play the series again on modern consoles with a decent frame rate. That shouldn’t be too much to ask for.
It’s also worth mentioning that, earlier today, these Xbox listings showed a September 13 release date which has since been removed. If you happened to catch that, I wouldn’t mark your calendar just yet.
Officially, the date and pricing are still TBA for the individual games and the triple-pack bundle.
