It was bound to happen sooner or later, and well, here you go. Nyko has revealed its new Wireless Nunchuck for the Wii, which they say will function just like the original, aside from the addition of what appears to be an “Off” button for the peripheral itself.
Using 2.4-GHz wireless, this newest threat to your television’s safety connects to the Wiimote by way of a receiver module that plugs into the accessory port. The absence of cordage obviously suggests that you’ll need some other means of powering this thing, which I’m sure will please the good people at Duracell as much as it does anyone else.
You’ll get a better look at Nyko’s new Nunchuck after its official public debut at CES next month, along with more information on pricing and how not to pelt your sister in the face with it. Until then, there’s some ugly web site that has a few more pictures of it.
