If you haven’t been following along, Bethesda is not having a good time getting mods into the PS4 version of Fallout 4, and it seems like Sony is to blame.

While Microsoft had no issues accommodating for mod sizes, Sony currently limits the system to 900MB, which is a stark difference from Microsoft’s 2GB accommodation. Issues stemming from the PS4 edition of the game in general (which is seemingly poorly optimized) are also reportedly to blame. Despite all this, it did look like the publisher was poised to usher mods in with a beta in a recent update, but the program has been delayed to an undisclosed date as of this morning.

Bethesda simply tweeted out “We regret to say that the PS4 Mods Beta for Fallout 4 has been delayed. We will update everyone when we can.” I really wonder how this will impact that status of mods in the PS4 edition of the Skyrim Remaster if they can’t reach a solution with Sony.
