Who’s ready for a new Lara Croft adventure? Eidos Interactive is ready for a new Lara Croft adventure, that’s two. The publisher has recently trademarked the name Tomb Raider Underworld, which one can assume is the name of the a new game where Lara Croft raids tombs.

Game|Life has rumors of a plot which involves the Mayan Calendar, and takes place during “five days when the line between the mortal world and the Underworld becomes blurred.” Of course, this causes a s**tstorm, with powerful beings invading our world, and only Lara Croft (and skimpy outfits) can set things right.

If these rumors are true, we’re disappointed — a tie-in with the werewolf/vampire film saga which stars Kate Beckinsale would have been ideal. Alternately, some sort of tie-in with the UK electronica group, Underworld, might have been interesting, too. In all honesty, we’re getting a bit tired of powerful beings tearing through the fabric of reality and invading our world. But werewolves dancing with Kate Beckinsale? We’re sold.
