Say it isn’t so!
A PlayStation Portable version of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion sounded like a great idea right out of the gate, but our hopes were semi-crushed when get heard some worrysome news back in August. At the time, we were hoping that the news pointed toward a delay, but now it looks like they’ve called off the whole thing.
Wired’s Game|Life says that those that preordered at GameStop are getting the dreaded phone call, telling them that the game has been canceled “by the issuing vendor. You can get a full refund of your pre-order or choose another item.”
The information in this Bethesda forum thread echoes the problems we heard about back in August, saying that Climax Studios ran into development problems.
Nothing has been confirmed yet. Hopefully Bethesda will give it to us straight.
