If you’re anything like I am, you’re a sucker for any game that lets you take on the role of a sweaty dude and touch other sweaty dudes … wait a minute! That’s not like me at all! I do, however, have a soft spot for brawlers of the squared-circle variety, despite the fact that I haven’t watched professional wrestling programming in at least seven years (not counting the year I spent in the hospital after I leg dropped my cat through a folding table).

So I’m camping in front of my Xbox 360 until October 15, when THQ is said to be unleashing the demo of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 onto Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo will contain three arenas, a one-on-one mode, and four playable wrestlers: Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley, Undertaker, and Randy Orton. It’s OK if you don’t know who all of those guys are. Neither do I, but I can’t wait to have them kick each other in their crotches.

The demo should also be available as a pre-order “bonus” for anyone who feels like actually leaving the house and heading to their local retailer. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 should hit shelves on November 19.
